Are you a young or beginner rower who loves the sport and wants to take it to the next level? Do you want to get some financial support to help you achieve your rowing goals? If you answered yes to these questions, then we have some great news for you: the JB Sharp Regatta Scholarships are now open for applications!
The JB Sharp Regatta Scholarships are designed to support junior rowers in their development and progression in the sport. The scholarships are worth $1,000 each, and are awarded to two deserving rowers who have participated in the JB Sharp Memorial Regatta Series.
The J B Sharp Series Scholarships are for boys and girls under 18 years in their first 2 years of rowing. Competing clubs and schools may submit up to two written submissions for boys and two written submissions for girls in relation to rowers who have competed at this years’ series.
To be eligible for the scholarships, you need to be under 18 years of age, and have started rowing within the last 2 seasons. You also need to have competed in the JB Sharp series in 2023. The nominations are open until 11 August 2023, and the winners will be announced at the end of season presentation on 13 August 2023.
The scholarships can be used for any rowing-related expenses, such as equipment, coaching, travel, or fees. The winners will also receive a certificate and will be featured on the JB Sharp website and social media channels.
